Monstrum High-Performance Scope Mount - Scope not included.
Traditional Beauty. Modern Performance.
At first glance, many people mistake the 50 Kodiak™ for a beautifully-stocked walnut sporting rifle — and that's precisely the point. The rifle wears an exceptionally durable faux walnut finish over modern durable materials paired with a deep blue faux carbon-fiber treatment on the upper and lower receivers and barrel, creating a beautiful look rarely found on any modern production rifle.
It is, in a word, Stunning — a rifle with the soul of a traditional hunting arm and the bones of a proven, modern, tough-as-nails platform.
We're practical – not tactical.
The custom A1-style buttstock is fitted with a quality, full-size recoil pad for genuine shooting comfort, while a slender muzzle “can” tames muzzle blast. A custom Single-Stage Drop-In Trigger sharpens lock time and elevates field accuracy when it matters most — at the moment of truth.
The modern Side-Charging Action keeps operation simple and intuitive, and a specially tuned silent safety ensures that the critical seconds before the shot stay exactly that: silent.
Built for Real Hunting Performance
Beginning with your AR lower or rifle, each 50 Kodiak™ is custom-crafted from the finest components in a DPMS-pattern upper receiver and is fitted with a 16-inch precision-rifled chrome-moly steel barrel — a length chosen to strike the ideal balance between ballistic performance, fine balance, superb handling, and accuracy in the field.
Standard chambering is the proven .50 Beowulf. For hunters who demand more, the 12,7x42, more commonly known as .50 Beowulf, has the bone-smashing power to take down large heavy-bodied game such as elk, moose and even big bears.
Each 50 Kodiak™ includes a 3-shot magazine and is fully compatible with quality AR15 magazines and each rifle wears QD sling swivels for a sporting sling.
Cleaner. Cooler. More Reliable.
Standard AR designs vent all the action gases back into the receiver and magazine. The 50 Kodiak™ does not. Our exclusive Renner Vents on both sides of the receiver direct escaping gas out the sides of the action rather than back and down through it.
Other AR makers seem to have missed the basic fact that pressurized gas will follow the path of least resistance. If you give it a “short cut” out of the gun, it will take it.
The result: a cooler-running, cleaner rifle that stays reliable throughout your hunt.
Introducing the 50 Kodiak™
The Modern Sporting Rifle Refined for Serious Big Game Hunters
We also specialize in crafting AR rifles engineered from the ground up for big game hunting. Not tactical rifles disguised with camo as hunting rifles. The 50 Kodiak™ is purpose-built for the serious hunter — not for playing tactical games.
The AR platform has earned its reputation the hard way — through decades of proven performance in the most demanding conditions imaginable. What it never earned was a respected place in the field or on the elk ridge or in a serious hunting camp.
Not because it lacked the power. Not because it lacked the reliability or accuracy. But because nobody had the good sense to strip away the tactical clutter to reveal a practical hunting rifle and hand it back to the serious hunter.
Until now.
The Blitzkrieg Chevron Front Sight Post provides the ultimate iron sight picture with an aperture rear sight, providing both a perfectly sharp aiming point and a bold, fast, easy to see sight picture. The perfect blend of speed and precision.
For those who prefer glass, a Monstrum High-Performance Offset Dual Ring Scope Mount is included, available for either 1-inch or 30mm optics.

Testing the 50 Kodiak
Built From the Ground Up for the Hunting Field
The 50 Kodiak™ is of simple retro design and was conceived with a single purpose: to bring the strength and reliability of the AR15 platform to hunters who have spent a lifetime behind a fine sporting rifle and know exactly what a hunting arm ought to feel like and how it should handle for best performance in the field.
Our stocks, handguards, and receivers are not bristling with sharp edges and corners like ordinary ARs, but are sleek and smooth and designed to minimize snag points like excess picatinny rails, holes, slots, levers and protrusions, preventing them from catching on branches, leaves, twigs, or debris while hunting.
At just 36 inches overall and a perfectly balanced 8 pounds, the 50 Kodiak™ is short and handy, feeling naturally good in the hand, mounting to the shoulder like a fine shotgun. That compact form also makes it easy getting in and out of a truck - or an Alaskan bush plane.
It can be readily seen above that the recoil of the 50 Kodiak is very manageable for the powerhouse rifle that it is. Nothing in North America can stand up to it.
